SODIUM HYALURONATE, HYALURONIC ACID; LIDOCAINE (SOE dee um hye al yoor ON ate, hye al ur ON ik AS id; LYE doe kane) is used to smooth face wrinkles and folds, increase cheek volume, and increase volume on the back of the hands.

What should I tell my care team before I take this medication?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

• bleeding disorders
• skin conditions or sensitivity
• skin infection
• an unusual allergic reaction to hyaluronic acid, lidocaine, bacteria proteins, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservative
• pregnant or trying to get pregnant
• breast-feeding

How should I use this medication?

This medicine is for injection into the skin. It is given by a health care professional in a hospital or clinic setting.

Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.

• certain medications to treat or prevent blood clots like warfarin, enoxaparin, dalteparin, apixaban, dabigatran, rivaroxaban
• medicines that lower your chance of fighting infection

What should I watch for while using this medication?

Your condition will be monitored carefully while you are receiving this medicine.

This medicine can make you more sensitive to the sun. Keep out of the sun. If you cannot avoid being in the sun, wear protective clothing and use sunscreen. Do not use sun lamps or tanning beds/booths.

What side effects may I notice from receiving this medication?

Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible:

• allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue
• changes in vision
• signs and symptoms of infection like fever or chills, cough; sore throat; pain or trouble passing urine
• signs and symptoms of a stroke like changes in vision; confusion; trouble speaking or understanding; severe headaches; sudden numbness or weakness of face, arm or leg; trouble walking; dizziness; loss of balance or coordination

Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report these to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or ara bothersome):

• headache
• pain, redness, or irritation at site where injected
• skin discoloration
• unusual bleeding or bruising
